Judging systems

Judging screens built for the way your sport actually scores — configurable per discipline, ready for tablets on the field of play.

Overview

Scoring is where a competition earns or loses its credibility. Fitofan provides judging interfaces designed per discipline: point-based combat scoring with penalties and rounds, artistic panels with difficulty and execution components, and timed or measured events with attempts and tolerances.

Every input is attributed to a named judge and a specific device, timestamped and stored with the match record. After the event, deviation reports show how each judge scored relative to the panel, giving heads of officials the evidence they need for development and appointments.

Judging screens drive the public scoreboard, the venue displays and the live result feed simultaneously, so spectators, coaches and the online audience always see the same state of play as the officials.

How it works

The workflow, step by step

  1. STEP 01

    Configure the rule pack

Define scoring elements, penalties, round structure and tie-break logic for each discipline.

  2. STEP 02

    Assign officials

Allocate judges to fields of play and panels, with conflict-of-interest checks.

  3. STEP 03

    Score live

Judges use tablets; the clock, scoreboard and result feed update in real time.

  4. STEP 04

    Resolve disputes

Video review is opened from the match record itself, and any correction is logged.

  5. STEP 05

    Review afterwards

Publish protocols and analyse judge consistency for future appointments.

Who it's for

Heads of officials

Objective data on every judge instead of impressions gathered at the table.

Organisers

Fewer scoring errors, faster mats and no manual transfer of scores into results.

Athletes and coaches

A visible, timestamped score they can review rather than dispute blindly.

FAQ

Judging systems: common questions

What hardware is required?
Standard tablets or laptops with a browser, plus a display for the venue scoreboard. No proprietary terminals are needed.
What happens if a tablet loses connection?
The judging screen continues locally and resynchronises when the network returns; the match clock is never lost.
Can we match our international federation's scoring rules?
Yes. Rule packs are configurable and versioned, so you can mirror your international federation's current regulations.
