On September 25, Reno hosted the 2026 Top 8 Championships, staged by the United World Taekwondo Association at 401 North Center Street. The one-day taekwondo event brought together 83 participants from 14 clubs in a focused, competitive atmosphere.

The program covered six categories and six divisions across age groups from 13-17 to 46 & Over, with competition for BB Candidate & Black Belt entrants. Athletes worked through a varied schedule that included Weapons, Combat Weapons, Poomsae/Forms, and Point Sparring, giving the championship a broad technical shape despite its compact format.

In the medal standings, Beck's Martial Arts finished first, Family Taekwondo Plus took second, and Robinson's TKD Galt placed third. Among the coaches, Cirincione Teena headed the listed leaders, followed by Robinson Clinton and Beck Master Andrew, while the top athletes by wins included Heidi Kloser, Aimee Lindsey, and Ellison Pepper.

Beck's Martial Arts led the overall medal table and stood out as the dominant team of the day, with the event awarding 12 medals across six contested categories. Heidi Kloser emerged as the top athlete, underlining the strength of Beck's Martial Arts in Reno.

The championship offered a sharp snapshot of black belt and candidate-level taekwondo across several age brackets, and the results gave the leading clubs strong momentum from a busy day on the mats. With solid participation and clear standouts, the 2026 Top 8 Championships delivered a concise but meaningful test for everyone involved. Taekwondo #RenoSports #MartialArts #UWTA #Top8Championships
